Bear Lake Marathon Idaho - Day 1 - Marathon #48

Bear Lake Idaho was day 1 of a triple marathon weekend. I did this triple last year. I'm feeling the excitement of doing 3 marathons in 3 days in 3 states. There were lots of 50 staters from the 50 States Club. This triple is an easy way to get 3 states in one weekend. It did not feel like spring or summer, more like winter on a January day. It was very cold, in the low 40's. Burr!!! I finished 6:14:20

Irlan is running her first triple, which will give her 3 more states. To join the 50 states club you must run a marathon in 10 states. Idaho will be state #6 for Irlan. Robert, MM#603 from Canada had no problem with the cold. Robert and I saw each other last year at the Lake Tahoe Triple. It was good to see you Robert!

The drive into Bear Lake was beautiful. I had to stop and take in the view.

Dreams Come True One Step at a Time: When going through life and traveling in the direction of your dreams, the best way to get ahead is the simplest way: Take it one step at a time. Don't look over your shoulder; if you do, you'll feel the weight of all your yesterdays upon you. And don't worry about what lies ahead. By the time you get to the bend in the road or the crest of the hill, you're going to be better and stronger than you ever were before. Just go a step at a time. And you'll find a rich, thankful life you never thought you could afford.
